The Post Office has appointed Juliet Crisp as its new head of people strategy, planning and governance.<\/p>\n
Crisp joins the organisation with a proven track record in HR leadership and talent development from her previous roles at Whitbread, SSP Group and Tesco.<\/p>\n
Her most recent role at Whitbread saw her develop and implement the company-wide talent strategy. Her 25-year tenure at Tesco, culminating as head of HR for online & customer fulfilment, showcased her ability to manage large-scale HR functions and drive significant organisational change.<\/p>\n
The Post Office\u2019s new people strategy focuses on three priorities: colleague experience, capability and inclusion. As part of its broader cultural transformation strategy, the Post Office has also introduced new company-wide behaviours. These behaviours \u2013 \u2018Be curious\u2019, \u2018Move it forward\u2019, \u2018Own the outcome\u2019 and \u2018Back each other\u2019 \u2013 are designed to cultivate an environment where innovation, accountability and mutual support thrive, according to a company statement.<\/p>\n
Crisp\u2019s appointment to the Post Office People function is one of a number of hires made by the Post Office\u2019s group chief people officer Karen McEwan, who joined the business in September 2023. This includes Hawa Newell-Sydique who recently joined as people director \u2013 talent & capability. She was most recently at Selfridges where she was the director of talent, learning and diversity, equity & inclusion.<\/p>\n
In addition, Tim Perkins, who was previously at the Post Office and has rejoined from Marks & Spencer, is the Post Office\u2019s people services director.<\/p>\n
